IS ADHD REAL?

Ask what would help.

Do not assume the answer is trying harder—or taking over.

Start with the specific problem

“Did you forget after switching tasks, or was it hard to start?”

Ask before stepping in

“Would a reminder help, or would that feel like being managed?”

Make an agreement you can both use

“For urgent plans, let’s call. For everyday messages, what reply time works for both of us?”

Support does not replace treatment

Written instructions, fewer distractions, and clear first steps may help, but needs differ. Assessment and treatment belong with an appropriate health professional.
